Features
Everything Lysena checks, and how. Some features differ between Android and iPhone, because they depend on what the system allows.
The screens are a preview: the app is in development.
How Lysena checks
Artificial intelligence
It reads messages the way an attentive person would and recognizes scams, even when they are worded in a new way.
Precise checks
Everything else needs no AI: Lysena compares websites with lists of dangerous addresses and checks app permissions, the Wi‑Fi network and your phone’s settings.
Everything happens on your phone and Lysena works offline. Cloud services only come in if you turn them on, for extras like the Family group.
Scam filter for messages
Recognizes scam texts, messages and emails: parcels on hold, fake banks, prizes to collect. It warns you and blocks the link. If you have doubts about a message or an email, share it and choose “Check with Lysena”.
- Android
- Reads the notifications of messages and emails (sender, subject and first lines), with your permission. It checks a whole email when you share it.
- iPhone
- Filters texts from unknown senders. It checks emails and other messages when you share them, because iOS does not let apps read notifications.
Web protection
Blocks phishing and malware websites before they open, using up-to-date lists downloaded to your phone. If a link looks doubtful you can open it in safe mode: you see the page, but without JavaScript, downloads or cookies.
- Android
- Across the whole phone, with a local VPN: your traffic does not go through us.
- iPhone
- Inside Safari, with a content blocker. Safe mode opens when you share the link with Lysena.
App check
Android onlyFlags apps installed outside the store and apps that ask for too many permissions, like a flashlight that wants to read your texts.
- Android
- List of apps and their permissions.
- iPhone
- Not available: iOS does not let apps see the other installed apps.
Wi‑Fi check
Warns you about open or weakly protected networks and suggests avoiding payments while you are connected.
- Android
- Network status and security type.
- iPhone
- With location permission, which iOS requires to read the network.
Security updates
Tells you when a security update comes out for your phone and what it fixes: how many vulnerabilities, and whether any are already used in attacks. It does the same for the most common apps, like browsers and messaging. Lysena downloads the full official bulletins and compares on your phone: no server knows which phone you have.
- Android
- System patches, Google Play updates and the most common apps, from the Android security bulletins.
- iPhone
- iOS version and available updates, from Apple’s security bulletins. Other apps are not visible.
Phone check-up
Checks screen lock, security updates and risky settings, with practical advice.
- Android
- Screen lock, updates, USB debugging.
- iPhone
- Passcode and iOS version.
Activity log
The “What Lysena did” screen shows every check and every alert. The log is encrypted and stays on your phone.
- Android
- Yes.
- iPhone
- Yes.
AI on your phone
The model that understands your messages runs on your phone. You pick it the first time you open Lysena, and from then on it works offline.
